This article will discuss the concept of Structured Non-Surgical Asian Rhinoplasty - nose filler technique in Asians that can create a beautiful Asian nose.
What is Structured Non-Surgical Asian Rhinoplasty (SNAR)?
Structured Non-Surgical Asian Rhinoplasty (SNAR) is an aesthetic concept. This concept is essential in planning and creating a beautiful Asian nose. It is especially important if the cosmetic doctor wishes to create a beautiful Asian nose and reproducibly. This concept is proven to be useful. It was new in 2012 as Dr. Peter Kim originated this concept. Since then it is widely accepted by the cosmetic plastic surgical peers. It was, therefore, accepted and published by the prestigious journal of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in 2012.

Why is Structured Non-Surgical Asian Rhinoplasty concept important?
Caucasian noses are generally bigger than the Asian noses and the cosmetic rhinoplasty generally requires a reduction surgery (to make the nose smaller) or to correct small asymmetries or indentations. The concept in which the nose filler is used is to simply "fill" a small area that needs to be treated.
In Asian, on the other hand, the nose is generally smaller and they need an augmentation surgery (to make the nose larger). In order to create a beautiful nose, not only the bridges need to be "lifted" but also the tip usually needs some "lifting" as well as being rotated forward. In other words, creating a beautiful nose in Asians are much more 'involved' than the caucasian noses. Nose filler injections in Asians is not just a matter of simply filling the hollowness but to "lift" and to "reposition". These lifted and repositioned nose tip and the nose bridge will then need to be "sculpted" so that all part of the nose are in proportion and harmony to each other, as well as being in proportion and in harmony with the rest of the face. It is all about creating beautiful nose to produce a beautiful face - a face with a beautiful nose and the one that is in proportion to the face.
So it is clear that on the face value, the Asian nose filler enhancement in not only more involved and complex but also it naturally consist of more variables. More variables usually mean lower predictive outcome.
Systematising the Asian nose filler procedure can control these unpredictable variables. Fewer variables mean good cosmetic result can be created more efficiently and be reproduced. This is where the concept of Structured Non-Surgical Asian Rhinoplasty 'fits in'. It is a concept where the dermal filler can be injected into the nose, in a systematic way (we call it in "sequence") so that the beautiful Asian nose can be created each and every time. This systematic way or the injection in the sequence is what I termed "Structured" and hence the name of this concept is "STRUCTURED non-surgical Asian Rhinoplasty".
Here are some Asian noses created using the concept of Structured NonSurgical Asian Rhinoplasty using a dermal filler injection.
